Fay Hallam & The Bongolian ‘Lost In Sound’ – The debut album out now

Blow Up presents a brand new collaboration: Fay Hallam (Makin’ Time, The Prime Movers, Phaze) & The Bongolian! Both share a serious passion for 60’s Hammond Beat and Soul and the album ‘Lost In Sound’ which is due for release next week, covering a variety of sounds: Bossa Nova, heavier 70’s grooves and a strong Northern Soul influence. Get ready to get lost in sound!

The album will be available on CD and from iTunes from next Monday 7th May, and from all other digital stores including Amazon on Monday 14th May. The album will be available on Vinyl from early June – but you can pre-order now.

Baltic Fleet ‘Towers’: Pre-Order CD, Vinyl+MP3 – Rough Trade & iTunes Exclusive

‘Towers’ is the second album from ‘Baltic Fleet’, and the follow up to Baltic Fleet’s self-titled 2008 debut which featured in Rough Trade Shop’s Album Club and (along with Piccadilly Manchester) into their Top Albums Of The Year.

Towers has already made it into Louder Than War’s Top Albums of the Year So Far, and ahead of release. The album is released in the UK on Monday 27th August 2012, but will be available from Monday 30th July exclusively from the Blow Up shop and Rough Trade Shops and you can pre-order now. It is also available now digitally exclusively from iTunes with a special bonus track.

‘Engage‘ is the 1st track to be taken from ‘Towers‘ the 2nd album from Baltic Fleet, due for released this Summer/Autumm and which follows his 2008 self-titled debut ‘Baltic Fleet‘ which was an Album of the Year (No 29) for Rough Trade Shops. Baltic Fleet is the moniker of multi-instrumentalist and DIY producer Paul Fleming, and the new album signifies a departure from the travelling and diarising of life on the road (whilst touring as keyboard player for Echo & The Bunnymen), and arrives home to the industrial backdrop of North West England. It’s a Motorik blast…

The Bongolian live at the BLOW UP Christmas Party – Fri 2nd December

The Bongolian will be playing a rare london show at Blow Up’s Christmas Party, on Friday 2nd December in London (more): in session he long-awaited 4th album from The Bongolian continues the musical journey where 2007’s Outer Bongolia left off, bringing us back down to Earth possibly via France circa 1967 via 2011, in a wildly eclectic rare groove fusion of Funk Soul Hammond Beat Jazz and a Sci-Fi Boogaloo.
